Year in Review: 2016

Published on:

Life is a funny thing, it’s like a wheel, one moment you’re on top, and the next one you’re on bottom – and 2016 has been a great year for me. At moments, it didn’t look like it’s going to be, but when I look at it in reverse, it really is.

So here’s a breakdown:

  1. Started working full-time for Simplicity LLC and part-time for Toptal.
  2. Graduated from the university and got myself a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science.
  3. Created this website. Yay!
  4. Attended my first WordCamp (Belgrade 2016), few meetups here and there, and spoke at WordPress Meetup Belgrade as well as WordPress Meetup Novi Sad.
  5. Wrote my first blog post for Toptal called The Ultimate Guide to Building a WordPress Plugin.
  6. Released 3 free plugins on WordPress Repository. You can check them over here.
  7. Worked on some exciting new projects.

So, what am I going to do in 2017?

Well, I’m still going to stick with WordPress, contribute to the community regularly, but also, I’m taking on a new challenge – Angular 2 and furthermore Node.js® and/or Laravel/Symphony.

I wish you all a wonderful and happy New Year!
